WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT – NABICON 2012
Dear Friends,
It is indeed an honor for me to host the NABICON – ۲۰۱۲ as president and invite you all to Delhi once again to participate in large numbers to make the conference an endearing success.
‘Burns’ as a subject is of great concern and only to the common man but to every clinician and health administrator. Burns is not just a disease of the body but a phenomenon encompassing a wide array of psycho social problems with high morbidity and mortality.
Burn reconstruction and rehabilitation still remains an unfinished challenge as a burn patient keeps coming back for improvements, both functional and aesthetic. Hence dedicated and earnest efforts are required from all quarters to work towards prevention, treatment and overall rehabilitation of a burn patient.
National Academy of Burns India is an organization which plays a pioneering role in monitoring Burn management in our country by constantly pushing for a better understanding of the problem and adopting a rational and cost-effective approach towards burn management.
NABICON – National Conference on NABI which is an annual event serves the purpose of exchange of ideas, updating knowledge and incorporating newer and better methods in burn care.
Conforming to the theme for the conference ‘Past, Present, and Future of Burn Care’ we wish to delve into the different treatment modalities used for burn care in the past, the present day techniques and also catch a glimpse of the newer avenues that can be explored in the future.
We are planning to have a three days of rich scientific programme on 3rd , 4th and 5th February with special efforts towards maximum interaction with both national as well as international faculty. We hope our efforts will be fruitful and will enable all delegates to broaden their horizons as far as management of Burns is concerned.
